Bonnie Bucqueroux is a National Magazine Award-winning journalist who believes we are facing crises unlike any we have encountered before. In 2000, Bonnie ran for Congress on the Green Party ticket, with climate change as her top issue. In 2007, she was one of 1,000 people personally trained by former Vice President Al Gore through The Climate Project.
Bonnie retired from Michigan State University's School of Journalism to devote more time to publishing Sustainable Farmer. She frequently lectures on issues related to agriculture, food and the environment and teaches a freshman seminar on climate change each year. Surviving Tough Times is her fourth book and first ebook.

Bonnie's hoophouse allows her to grow greens and other cold crops during the winter even in Michigan
